Question about travelling from Canada to US for Indian citizen with Candian student visa?

Question about travelling from Canada to US for Indian citizen with Candian student visa?
I am wondering if students who are having student visa in Canada but are from India can come into US for visit? If they can, what is the procedure and how do they apply for visa, how much will it cost? If not what is the cheapest way to travel between Toronto and Windsor? Any idea if they are eligible for the ISIC card which gives them student discount rate when travelling?

1- you will need a visa to enter the US 2- this july the rate for visa or any immigration services for the US will be change meaning+ (know this because my friend told that she wants to file for her citizenship before the rate is higher because the application will be $900.00) my advise to you is to call the US imbassador in India and ask them (that is if you are still in India) The cheapest way to travel from Toronto to Windsor probably is by boss or Train and when you call for the reservation ask them if you can have studend discounts Good luck

since you are not a citizen you need a visa

This is an interesting proposition, but i suggest you not do it online! Find an organization of some sort that could get you into contact with people. I'm afraid you'll attract undesirable people for you children by advertising here.

Would the University of Toronto accept a grad student with a bachelor's degree from outside of Canada?

Would the University of Toronto accept a grad student with a bachelor's degree from outside of Canada?
I currently live in the US and plan on moving to Canada after college. I'm planning on getting a college degree in Psychology, and am not sure if the University of Toronto would accept a student into their graduate program with a degree from the US.

Yeah they might, check the international students page.
2 :
Yes, if you are an international student that meets all the requirements of their needs. If you're still not sure, check the international website on UofT's page. :)

My graduate program at U of T (Medieval Studies) is more than half international students. I'm sure Psychology can handle an application from someone with an American degree. Here are the graduate admission requirements for the Department of Psychology. http://home.psych.utoronto.ca/graduate/grad_admission.htm

F1 Student visa holder in the US wants to immigrate to Canada by middle of next year after getting Bachelors?

F1 Student visa holder in the US wants to immigrate to Canada by middle of next year after getting Bachelors?
I am here on F-1 Student Visa. I got my Associates Degree last year and will be getting my Bachelor's next year. I want to immigrate to Canada permanently. Unfortunately I don't see any immigration category that best fits because I don't have years of work experience. What options are available? I also recently got nominated for Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Can that be of any advantage to me? Thanks a lot.

Please don't try to immigrate to Canada. Our economy is as bad as everyone else's and we are having a tough enough time finding jobs for our own citizens to then worry about immigrants. In January of this year, 129,000 Canadian jobs were lost with another 83,000 lost in February. Please, just until things improve stay where you are.

I do not see any solution for you. With the current job market, it is very difficult for foreigners with no experience to get a job in Canada or the US.
3 :
At the completion of your studies on a student visa, you must return to your own country. From there you can apply for jobs here. An employer would sponsor you. That is about your only alternative.
4 :
Get Work authorization first and work for a few months in US.
5 :
Get some experience in your field, either in the US or your home country and then apply for residency. You are not going to be approved by the middle of next year. There are about a million people in line ahead of you and many of them have sponsors, experience, needed skills, Canadian connections and money.

It depends on your degree. If it in in engineering or the sciences, it will be little problem. If it is a BA, there is no demand.
