Health insurance for US student studying in Ontario Canada?
Does anyone know the best route to go for a US citizen who is a student living in Canada on a study permit (but the school is not accredited) to get health insurance. Age 22. Gender: Female. Non Smoker.

You need to get private travel insurance from an American insurer. You're still considered an American Resident, since you're only staying in Canada temporarily for the purpose of studies.

That insurance would get you to a Canadian doctor for free. And why would you do that? They're the worst medical practitioners in the world, and American ones are among the best. Is money more important than your health? Do yourself a favour if you have a health issue, cross the border and see a proper doctor.

Contact Blue Cross or some other insurer such as Great West Life. International students do not qualify for provincial health care.
