Can I be rejected a student visa in Canada if I have a family member citizen there?
I am over 25 yo, the only brother I have lives in Canada and he's a canadian citizen. I guess I can't apply for a family visa due to the age limitations. If I want to come and study in Canada, so I would get a student visa, can a consulate reject my student visa because I have a family member living there? Is that a legit reason? Any other ways to reunite with my family?

they may deny you if they fear you will not leave canada when your visa expires to study here you must be accepted by an recognized educational institute,have enough money to pay your tuition fees and support yourself for the time you are here.you will pay the higher fees as an international student http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/index.asp the only other way for you to move to canada is to qualify on your own http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp
