As I senior student from Canada, what should I consider before applying to FIT in New York?
I'm a middle class girl from Canada, and I was wondering what I need to do to get into one of the important fashion schools in expensive New York City.

You should consider whether this is a good use of your time and money. Fashion is frivolous, and most "graduates" can't make a decent career in the field รข€” working for minimum wage until they finally give up and start making sandwiches for Subway. Choose a serious degree from a serious school.

Do you have a portfolio of your work? Also make sure you can afford to live (apt rent, food, entertainment, school supplies) in addition to tuition.
