Health insurance for student studying in Canada?
I am studying in Canada in the fall and my health insurance from the states does not cover me in Canada. What are some of my options? My school will offer very limited insurance, covering only emergencies basically. What are some legit travelers insurance companies that I can try? Thank you!

Since you should buy the insurance before you come, you'd probably be better off checking around where you live to see what's available. Maybe your regular health care coverage can be extended to Canada if you pay more. I've bought travel insurance here in Canada for when I was going to the US and it wouldn't cover a simple visit to a doctor. It had at least a $500 deductible. Canadian health insurance companies such as Blue Cross don't, as far as I know, offer basic health insurance here because hardly anyone one needs it. They do sell coverage for things that aren't covered by government health plans in Canada.
