Can a foreign student going to school Canada visit the USA?
I have a friend who just started college in Canada from another country. She would like to be able to visit the US while she is in school. Can she do that? If yes, how?

The entry requirements vary according to nationality. If she is from western Europe or a few other countries she may be able to visit without a visa: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1261.html If not she has to apply for a regular tourist visa. Does she have a valid passport? Is she from a country that requires a US visa?

call the usa consular offices or go in in person....and ask them direct... it all depends which passport your friend holds...bon voyage
