BC and Canada Student Loan question?
I applied and got approved for BC and Canada Student loan last year. However, my first year is up. I will be continuing education this September again as a second year student. Do we need to reapply for the loans to get funds again or is it automatically done ? Thanks alot.

I believe you have to re-apply unless things have changed. I live in Alberta and I had to for my 2nd year. However check your documentation of your student loan and it should say it on there if your loan includes both years or not. If it doesn't then you'll will have to re-apply.

If your wife is a full-time student you will be qualified for a work permit for the same time frame as her study permit. You must apply. is it possible to convert a student visa to a working visa in Canada or Australia?
i am planning to take up culinary arts and one of the the internship after the course is in Canada. i have understood that we will go there through a student visa. i was wondering though if it is difficult to have my student visa converted to a working visa. if i will have my internship in australia, is it also difficult to have an australian student visa converted into a working visa?

I would like to go to Seattle WA to visit and take a short trip with my friends but I am on a student visa. Is there any cheap possible way that i may do so? what are the steps... please give me all the necessary details...thanks!

It actually depends on your citizenship. If you hold a passport of one of the 36 countries which apply to the U.S. Visa Waiver Program you will just need to get an Arrival/Departure Record Form I-94W at the Canadian - U.S. land border at a fee of US$6.00. I don't have that much money to go to New York, Japan or Paris :( & fashion and photography is the only thing im really good at and enjoy doing. I'm going to grade 12 right now and i wanna start working. So does anyone know any open fashion internships in canada?

I will be getting to Canada end of summer, and I wanted to know if I get married to my GF who is a resident, how does the process work of becoming legal, and how long? Thanks in advance ...

You go the a church and say "I do". Than you file for a legal alien status which will over time become a permanent situation.

your GF would have to qualify to sponsor you to immigrate

The sponsorship information can be found at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp It's unlikely that your GF will be denied to sponsor if she is over 18, isn't on social assistance and doesn't have a criminal record. You will have to prove to immigration that the relationship is real though. Start collecting data. How did you meet, what souvenirs do you have of your relationship, trips taken together, photos etc. Do you have a joint lease, joint bank account, any joint bills. Do you have phone bills from the time you started dating. All this adds up. When sponsorship applications are denied, it's usually because immigration doesn't believe it's a real marriage. You will have 2 ways to apply for sponsorship called inland and outland. Inland is when you state that you are living in Canada and request your file to be processed in Canada. This actually takes longer and you are not advised to travel while it's in process. It may take you 1-2 years to get permanent residency this way. If you apply outland, you state yourself as officially not living in Canada and request your file to be processed in your homeland. If your student visa is issued for a 1 year or more, you can also ask for it to be processed where you live which is in Canada although they will then send it to the US since they don't process outland files in Canada.
