In Canada on a student visa. " From when " can I apply for my permanent immigration as a skilled worker?10 pts?
I am now on student visa and I would like to apply for my permanent immigration as a skilled worker as I have its eligible condition. So I just want to know FROM WHEN or from how long after arriving and starting to study in Canada I can apply for my permanent immigration. I already have the 67 points of eligibility to apply. PS: I could not find the answer to this specific question on www.cic.gc.ca website

Well your answer IS on the CIC website - you are not looking closely enough. You would apply under the Canadian Experience class. You must: be either: 1 - a temporary foreign worker with at least two years of full-time (or equivalent) skilled work experience in Canada, or 2 - a foreign graduate from a Canadian post-secondary institution with at least one year of full-time (or equivalent) skilled work experience in Canada So AFTER you graduate, you apply for a post graduate work permit and you work in Canada for 12 months at a full time job (thats 37.5 hours per week) After you complete the 12 months, you STAY on a work permit and continue working. BUT you can now send a PR application into CIC. RIght now there is NO timeline available but so far thay are taking more than 12 months to be processed. You must continue working on a work permit for this entire time. When your processing is complete, you are landed as a PR in a local CIC office.
