Whats the best city in canada for a student to live in?
After i finish high school here in the US, i would like to move and study in canada (and never come back to the USA!). I can speak english, spanish and french. The only problem is that i don't have alot of money. Also, are canadians racist to latinos/hispanics?

I don't know too much, but Calgary,(Alberta), Edmonton, (Alberta) Vancouver (BC) and Ottawa have all tons of choices for school and lots of languages to learn.

Best city...cities like Toronto and Vancouver are good unless you want a French-speaking city then Quebec or Montreal. All other cities are smaller and I generally don't recommend them (though I live in one). Are Canadians racist to latinos/hispanics? I would say no. You do find some racism but nothing that you won't find anywhere else. If you're thinking about moving to Canada, don't worry about the racism it's not big here.

I am Canadian and no we aren't racist to latinos/hispanics at all! I mean we are a multicultural country remember that! :) A good place to go to is London, Ontario, Canada. It is a city with a lot of multi cultures their. It has a excellent university andcollegee their. University of Western Ontario and FanshawaCollegee. London isn't expensive at all I live near their. If you go to Toronto, Ontario everything is expensive your best bet is to go to London Ontario. It is close to the border as well. Remember Canadians aren't racist people (well their are racist in evercountriess) but we are Peacekeepers! :) I hope you come and live in Canada! Rebekka

trust me, you dont wanna go there.. if you wanna leave the country, go to ireland or sweden. in canada, you're gonna end up sayin something to someone, they'll be offended, and you'll get sued for all your tuition money.... and you'll get taxed the crap out of

Vancouver is lovely! Wonderful people, breath taking views, cost of living somewhat similar to living in the California, Seattle region. Though Toronto is not to be pushed aside either. Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria. Toronto and Vancouver are more cultually diverse , though, so don't worry about racism. There are always a few but for the most part we don't have problems. If you like us we like you. I think you should move to Canada and never look back. It's the best.

London Ontario is the place to go University of Western Ontario or Fanshawe College both very good and respected schools in canada (especially Western) nice city, not too big, not too small huge student population 2hours from the border (detriot or buffalo)

There are many factors to consider: 1. Your nationality vis-a-vis an area you can live in a stress free environment without the worries of racism and have a latino community. Answer to this is either Vancouver or Toronto. 2. Work - both cities are probably good for employment and right now, Ontario is hit real bad, where Vancouver is not. So, a job in Vancouver may be easier to get than Toronto. 3. Climate: Vancouver has the best in Canada and is overall the warmest during the winter season. 4. Cost of living: Both are high but if you can't get a part time job while in school in one, you may as well go to the city you can get work in. Right now with Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics coming, some housing costs are going up, but that is in the downtown Vancouver area. 5. If you speak French, you may also want to consider Montreal or Quebec City . . .housing costs there are more affordable.

Halifax is supposed to be a good university town - low rents, plenty of students, weather not too bad.

Canadians are not racist (sauf perhaps a small portion, but that's like that everywhere). Most of the major cities have high proportions of people from other parts of the world. Good cities for students, would be Toronto, Calgary, Montreal or Vancouver. All large cities, great school systems, good employment opportunities.
