F1 Student visa holder in the US wants to immigrate to Canada by middle of next year after getting Bachelors?
I am here on F-1 Student Visa. I got my Associates Degree last year and will be getting my Bachelor's next year. I want to immigrate to Canada permanently. Unfortunately I don't see any immigration category that best fits because I don't have years of work experience. What options are available? I also recently got nominated for Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Can that be of any advantage to me? Thanks a lot.

Please don't try to immigrate to Canada. Our economy is as bad as everyone else's and we are having a tough enough time finding jobs for our own citizens to then worry about immigrants. In January of this year, 129,000 Canadian jobs were lost with another 83,000 lost in February. Please, just until things improve stay where you are.

I do not see any solution for you. With the current job market, it is very difficult for foreigners with no experience to get a job in Canada or the US.

At the completion of your studies on a student visa, you must return to your own country. From there you can apply for jobs here. An employer would sponsor you. That is about your only alternative.

Get Work authorization first and work for a few months in US.

Get some experience in your field, either in the US or your home country and then apply for residency. You are not going to be approved by the middle of next year. There are about a million people in line ahead of you and many of them have sponsors, experience, needed skills, Canadian connections and money.

It depends on your degree. If it in in engineering or the sciences, it will be little problem. If it is a BA, there is no demand.
